Own the Internet is an entertainment product. Paying the takeover price places your name, message, logo and link on this website's homepage until somebody else pays the then-current price. That is the entire thing you are buying.

You are not buying the internet, a domain, an asset, a security, a token, or any ongoing right. Ownership has no fixed duration and can end at any moment.

Ownership transfers only after your payment is confirmed by the payment provider on our servers. A success screen in your browser is not proof of payment and does not grant ownership on its own.

We remove content that is illegal, deceptive, hateful, sexual, or that impersonates someone else, and we may block an owner or domain at our discretion. Removal for these reasons does not entitle you to a refund.

Links you submit are yours. We render them with nofollow and open them in a new tab. We are not responsible for what is on the other end.

The price rises after every successful takeover according to the rules published on the homepage. We may change those rules for future takeovers; we will not change the price of a takeover you have already paid for.
